According to an article by Lisa Cericola at Southern Living Magazine's website, there are six things one should not serve at a ladies luncheon and I think they are spot on. The following items are included in the six (6) things:

  1. Strong Cocktails,

  2. Heavy Food,

  3. Hot Food,

  4. Composed Salads,

  5. Fussy Desserts, and

  6. Decaffeinated Coffee.

Please watch the short video below to see explanations and recommendations:

If cocktails and coffee are replaced with light and/or fruity beverages, the remaining suggestions would work well for an summer afternoon gathering for girls and women of any age.

I am hopeful that you are inspired to have the ladies over for luncheon before the summer ends.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Leverette
