It's a New Day, America

President Obama's last lines of final official address to the nation:

"Yes, we can." "Yes, we did." "Yes, we can."

As we transition from our brilliant 44th U.S. President to our 45th, it's important that we recognize that there is still some sensitivity among our countrymen and women with raw feelings - some are joyous others not at all.

Please remember to practice empathy and graciousness as we all adjust to this new kind of president.

Also, tea and games are always fun to talk about even after we share interests and concerns about serious matters such as politics and governance.

America is resilient and we will be fine.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Leverette
