And Now For Something Completely Different

This morning we learned who will serve as our 45th U.S. President.

As supporters of the winning candidate celebrate, my hope is that they understand the reality to which Van Jones at CNN so eloquently and accurately speaks of in the video below.

This is just one example of fellow citizens who are not joyful this morning. The main reason that I show it here is because he speaks to the challenge of dealing with children in the aftermath of this very public blow to civility, humanity and goodness.

Sometimes, this is what democracy looks like.

Everyone, please, show manners and decorum as we transition into a new era that is completely different (to borrow a phrase from Monty Python) from anything I've ever experienced in my lifetime.

Prayers for America, especially her children!
