Tea Places: The Things I Love

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a lovely celebration at the best place in town to be served a delightful and delicious afternoon tea - The Things I Love.

The celebration was somewhat multifaceted in that the owner was thanking her customers for having been voted Best Gift Shop and Best Home Decor in Northern Virginia for the 5th year in a row by one of may favorite publications - Virginia Living Magazine.

The owner of this wonderful establishment is Joanne Wunderly. I was happy to greet her as she held court in the tea room area of the shop. The superb live music and formal servers of delectable morsels and liquid refreshments added to the festive night where 19 years in business and "First Friday" were also receiving nods.

The Things I Love is a unique establishment. It is located at 9106 Center St in Manassas, Virginia. The shop has unique and lovely items for every budget and taste - as long as one's taste is good.

I strongly recommend that you visit The Things I Love anytime you find yourself near Old Town Manassas. Whenever possible, reserve a seat and have tea. You'll be glad that you did so.
