Here in the United States of America, candidates and nominees are vying for the opportunity to serve as President. These contests are usually informative, interesting and actually fun to watch. I have even been known to volunteer and participate in the election processes since I was 17 years old - which is more than half of my life. I was definitely influenced by y late father - a gentleman (born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina) who was always very interested in politics, fairness, and how people in the world were treating each other.
Last week, I watched most of the Republican National Convention. This week, I watched most of the Democratic National Convention. Whether one might describe these events as circuses or festivals, I believe each party properly displayed its position and the American people should make intelligent choices in November.

While I wonder what Daddy's analysis of the conventions would have been, I believe he would agree that a little more courteousness would have been nice.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Leverette
